Job Description
- Assigned to clients demonstrating challenging behaviors in school, home, and community settings
- Provides case supervision and behavior services under BCBA supervision, in compliance with BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code
- Uses approved emergency procedures during behavioral crises (e.g., CPI)
- Trains others in the use of behavioral interventions
- Engages in ongoing data collection and analysis
- Collaborates with colleagues, paraprofessionals, school staff, and families
- Is enrolled in or has completed a BCBA program
Primary Duties
- Provides case supervision for clients in home, school (including school bus), and community settings
- Supervises direct service providers (RBTs, Behavior Interventionists)
- Conducts performance evaluations for direct service staff on a regular basis
- Assists with or independently conducts FBAs, BIPs, and progress reports
- Collects and analyzes ongoing data to drive program decisions
- Trains school staff and mediators in behavior analytic concepts and data collection
- Works with mediators to transition instructional control from direct service staff
- Attends IEP and IPP meetings as needed
- Observes and provides feedback to school staff implementing BIPs
- Revises BIPs as needed; troubleshoots with school staff
- Covers direct service hours when staff coverage is needed
- Maintains quality, consistency, and program fidelity
- Fades out behavior services gradually and systematically
Qualifications
- Possesses an RBT or BCaBA certification
- Master's Degree (in a related field) or actively working toward a Master's/BCBA
- 2+ years of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating ABA interventions
- 2+ years of direct intervention experience with children
- Valid CA driver's license, clean DMV record, valid registration, proof of auto insurance
- Reliable transportation throughout assigned service areas
- Regular and punctual attendance required
- Clean criminal record and background check (Livescan)
- Experience with DTT, PRT, Social Stories, and PECS preferred (willing to train)
