Job Description
  • Assigned to clients demonstrating challenging behaviors in school, home, and community settings
  • Provides behavior services within the context of state and federal regulations and the BACB Professional and Ethical Compliance Code
  • Uses approved emergency procedures during behavioral crises (e.g., CPI)
  • Trains others in evidence-based behavioral interventions
  • Engages in ongoing data collection and analysis
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with colleagues, paraprofessionals, school staff, and families
Primary Duties
  • Provides case supervision for clients in home and/or community settings
  • Supervises candidates pursuing BCBA, BCaBA, or RBT certification
  • Supervises direct service providers (RBTs, Behavior Interventionists)
  • Ensures accurate data collection and session/progress notes by supervisees
  • Completes performance evaluations for direct service staff on a regular basis
  • Conducts and writes FBAs, BIPs, and progress reports
  • Collects and analyzes ongoing data to guide program decisions
  • Trains mediators in behavioral intervention implementation and data collection
  • Transitions instructional control from direct service staff to mediators
  • Revises BIPs as needed based on data and observations
  • Observes mediators implementing BIPs and provides actionable feedback
  • Addresses staff questions and concerns via email, phone, or face-to-face meetings
  • Conducts programming and program development for assigned cases
  • Covers direct service or supervision hours when no other staff are available
  • Maintains quality and consistency across all programs
  • Adheres to all agency policies and protocols
  • Fades out behavior services gradually and systematically
Qualifications
  • Minimum Master's Degree in a related field and active BCBA certification
  • 2+ years of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating ABA interventions
  • 2+ years of direct intervention experience with children
  • Valid CA driver's license, clean DMV record, valid car registration, and proof of auto insurance
  • Reliable transportation throughout assigned service areas
  • Regular and punctual attendance required
  • Clean criminal record
  • Experience with DTT, PRT, and PECS highly preferred (willing to train)
